- Description
- DCMTK is a collection of libraries and applications implementing large parts of the DICOM standard for medical image communication. It includes software for examining, constructing and converting DICOM image files, handling offline media, sending and receiving images over a network connection, as well as demonstration image storage and worklist servers. DCMTK includes complete source code and is written in a mixture of ANSI C and C++.

- Requirements
- Compiling from source code requires a C++ compiler and a few third party libraries, all of which are available under license conditions similar to DCMTK's. For the most popular platforms (Windows, Linux, Solaris), pre-compiled binaries are available for download.
